About this event

Effective Compliance: Mitigating Risks of Criminal Conduct & Cyber Attacks with Miles & Stockbridge

Join your ACC colleagues and Holly Drumheller Butler, Principal and Co-Chair of the White Collar, Fraud and Government Investigations Practice, and Veronica Jackson, Principal, with Miles & Stockbridge, at Ampersea at 1417 Thames Street in Fells Point at noon on September 15, for this compliance update:

Regardless of size, all organizations with operations subject to regulation should develop a formal compliance program appropriate for its size and operation. According to recent remarks by Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Polite at a recent program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement, “an effective corporate compliance program needs to be much more than a company’s policies, procedures, and internal controls.” With an increasingly tough enforcement environment, and greater demands for transparency and accountability, an effective compliance program is no longer just “nice-to-have.” It’s essential.

Regardless of your experience with compliance, the Miles & Stockbridge team will share the insights that will help you improve your program, increase employee awareness and decrease legal risk. They will share critical insights on best practices and real-life experience with compliance in today’s corporate environment, including an interactive session to test your company’s compliance readiness for cybersecurity.

Please RSVP by COB on Wednesday, September 7th.

  • ACC members are free.

  • First time guests coming with a member are free.
